I call myself an urban multidisciplinary creative
– a ‘Visualizer’
My artistic practice oscillates between painting, design, photography and illustration. It evolves around / investigates the surfaces of our everyday
environment in an ‘image-fixed’ world, fusing both analogue and digital and digital culture. I transform stories, narratives and desires into art & design.
My heart beats for diverse, interdisciplinary design projects that combine art, architecture & craft.
I think I work differently to a traditional interior designer. My background
is actually in graphic design & art – so I feel like I take almost a more artistic approach to my projects. I would describe my design-aesthetic as organic, warm, layered, playful with a degree of restraint.
I love experimenting with different textures, materials and colours. The biggest interior design rule I follow is scale – scale can change if it draws the eye to a tiny spot where you expect to see something quite large. Layers are what really make something warm – mixing textures, design elements and colour makes the difference.
I think every space you design needs a story – personal and individual.
